Mothra is definitely one of the most interesting new additions for the team because of its reputation as a hero and an enemy in the original Japanese films.

The teaser goes through some remarkable looks as fans watch what appears to be Mothra’s original cocoon. You can see a different aspect of Mothra, with a first look at its larval state. The previously released promotional material only showed Mothra’s completely evolved moth form, so this could be a confirmation that fans will see her move from the larvae to the full form in the sequel. There has been a question about how important the role that Mothra will play in the sequel will be, and now that fans have realized that King Ghidorah will openly challenge Godzilla for the Alpha role, now it’s just a matter of figuring out how the other Kaiju fits into the narrative. Will Mothra be fighting with or against Godzilla?

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is getting ready to premiere in theaters, and will do so with the backing of Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary. After a few years, the MonsterVerse is ready to hit the fans with this sequel to the Kaiju, but that’s not all for the franchise.

Or, at least, that is hope. Legendary CEO Joshua Grode has big plans for the franchise, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters is just the beginning.

Recently, the executive sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to talk about films, and it was there where he opened up about the future of MonsterVerse. When asked how far the franchise can be expanded, Grode had a simple answer to give:

“I hope a lot, I hope the gas tank is full.”

So far, only two films are part of the MonsterVerse: Godzilla (2014) and Kong: Skull Island. Godzilla: King of the Monsters will continue with the franchise before Godzilla vs. Kong goes into effect in 2020. As the rights of the radioactive Giant are about to expire with Legendary, the pressure is on finding more stories, but Grode does not seem worried. In fact, the executive is sure that there is much more to explore with the kaiju, and it will be up to Toho Studios to decide if their iconic monster is ready to explore those arcs.

Directed by Michael Dougherty, Godzilla: The King of Monsters, is starring Millie Bobby Brown, Vera Farmiga, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Ken Watanabe, Bradley Whitford, among many other talents. Godzilla’s synopsis: The king of monsters says: “The new story follows the heroic efforts of the Monarch cryptozoological agency as its members face a battery of monsters the size of a god, including the mighty Godzilla, which collides with Mothra , Rodan, and his final nemesis, the three-headed king Ghidorah, when these ancient superspecies, which are considered mere myths, re-emerge, they all compete for supremacy, leaving the very existence of humanity. ”

After, in 2014, Godzilla saved humanity from the monsters that put at risk the sources of nuclear energy of the earth, the renowned monster will return to the big screen with a new mission in “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” .

This new film, which will premiere on May 30, will focus on the collapse that will occur on planet earth when the mythical Godzilla faces powerful beasts such as Rodan, Mothra and Ghidorah.

The film of the great Japanese reptile will not only be the sequel to “Godzilla”, but will also be the second step of a trilogy, which will be completed in the year 2020, when the giant monster faces King Kong.

From what we can see in the new trailer, apparently the film is more inclined towards horror and humans, among whom is one of the protagonists of “Stranger Things”, Millie Bobby Brown, will have more integral roles. There is a kind of emphasis on doing things right.

The film, which has been directed by Michael Dougherty, remembered for his work as a screenwriter in “X-Men: Apocalypse”, will feature the performances of Bradley Whitford, Vera Farmiga, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler and O’Shea Jackson Jr., among others.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is the sequel to Godzilla (2014). This second installment aims to continue the MonsterVerse of Legendary Pictures. And as such it must also continue with the history of the scientific-paramilitary organization called Monarch.

Godzilla and the other kaiju who appear in the film: Mothra, King Ghidorah and Rodan, will have to deal with the organization in which they work, for example, Chief Officer Barnes (O’Shea Jackson), head of Team G.

Jackson recently made some statements regarding Monarch that tell us what to expect from them in the imminent release: “Monarch’s” Bible “is being rewritten in each movie. But this movie shows us what’s behind the curtain: Monarch’s headquarters and its submarine base. ”

He added: “I think there is something powerful in the idea of an organization with altruistic and noble goals about understanding our place in the world after discovering that these monsters exist. For the first time we will see the scientists on a more personal level and we will see how they interact with the kaiju. “
